Alcatraz in Uelzen

The hunter sauce was with cucumber which I have never heard before! The whole hunter sauce tasted like cucumber, if you can call it that. The schnitzel was also not good because it tasted like frozen

The veggie burger was very good, the camembert goes very well with the cranberries. Unfortunately the hunter sauce was with cucumber which didn't taste that good.

There were cucumbers and ham in the hunter sauce?! 😡 What a cheek I will never order there again.

Very tasty food. The prices are great. The service was very friendly. I can recommend it with a clear conscience.

Definitely worth a visit. We were greeted very friendly and were allowed to choose a seat at the window. The view was very nice despite the night and I can imagine that you can spend cozy hours here. Our service was very courteous and quick. We chose pizza bread with a garlic dip to start with. The dip was just awesome, we were very impressed and would have loved to take the dip home with us: p. We opted for burgers as the main course, as we found out afterwards, Tuesday is always burger day. But even without discounts, the burgers are worth the price. Juicy, tasty, decent portion, unique. The New York Bacon Burger in particular is very unusual with the cranberry jam and the Brie in combination with meat and bacon. It harmonizes perfectly. Only the fries are a shame, they looked like simple deep-fry fries out of the pack, but we still give them a smooth 5 stars for service, the hammer dip, the speed and these super tasty burgers. Thank you for a successful evening. P. S. Two screens are set up for football fans :)

Cross-over on the menu, that can only end in mediocrity. Here the kitchen is up to the challenge. Pizza, burger and the grill dish were very tasty. There is nothing to complain about about the hygiene rules. Even the tapas requested as a starter were successful. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether they like the combination of sports bar and restaurant.

Great, delicious food, super friendly and humorous service. Price performance fits ... would like to come back

Always worth a visit! Here you can sit outside by the waterfall in summer, but you can also sit relaxed inside. The menu presents many delicious things from burgers and tapas to small dishes.

It was once really delicious, they left unbelievably great. I was sure to have eaten four more times and always tried different things, none of which was anywhere near satisfactory. Very disappointing ... 1 star is given for being really nice to sit there. However, whenever you sit outside you have to come in to pay. Really very annoying! Not recommended

The food was plentiful and tasted great, even if I would have liked it a little warmer. Hence a star deduction. The service was very friendly and courteous.

We were on the way to Hamburg and were guided through Uelzen. Since we were hungry, we looked for a bite to eat and came across Alcatraz through Google Maps. Got a place right on the river. After a short wait we got the cards, from which we first ordered the two homemade lemonades. Very refreshing :) Now for the bite: Farmer's breakfast for me and skewers for them. Top quality, very well prepared, nothing to complain about. The service staff was very friendly and in a great mood, despite Corona. The total order value was just under € 26, which is really a top price for the quality. So it's worth going there, can't go wrong :) !!

Food is no longer what it used to be. I think the chef has changed. Sunday brunch is impossible to set up right next to the door to the kitchen. Volume in the building down by the water is very annoying.

Cocktails were better ... The friendliness of the service leaves a lot to be desired 😠

There was a roar at the bar, although it was empty and there was no reason, the food took a long time and the cleanliness was not so plump ... It may be otherwise, but overall it was not so nice when we visited ... We will give Alcatraz another chance next time to do better

Very great restaurant, good for sitting outside. Gladly again, the portions are very large, the food tastes delicious. We would love to come back.

I do like this place a lot. The food is great I didn't need to wait long for it. Though I just my style but I do feel it's crowded, loud and small I know it's something I can't change but yeah. I would recommend this place who doesn't mind loudness and crowdedness and I wouldn't recommend bringing your children here. Anyway great food. Though one thing the mens toilet is kinda broken. And why is there a sex toy vending machine in the men's toilet.

Very good restaurant, the food is very good, also for vegans. The. Service is fast and nice. I want to come back.

Cozy restaurant, delicious food and reasonable prices for large portions. The homemade lemonades are also recommended. The view of the restaurant is beautiful, the facilities well maintained and modern. You can sit well outside and inside. Also good for spontaneous food of a small group.

Good burgers.

It was pure luck that we discovered this little gem whilst walking through this little town stretching our legs. Maybe it was the combination of a wonderful day along with the situation next to a river but this place was great. We sat outside in the sunshine, enjoying the first rays of sunshine. It was a beautiful location and the staff was great - very understanding and attentive. Food is what I would call good down to earth food which is presented very nicely and is tastes well. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and my colleague had a great time as well. We enjoyed our stay immensely and revelled in the atmosphere and the surroundings of this lovely quaint town.
